'He was 30 seconds away from death.
But this didn’t stop him from becoming World Kickboxing Champion.
At age 23, Dave was crushed under a 23 tonne articulated lorry.
His left leg was completely severed and he was in a coma for eight days.
Dave was told he would never walk again. But he defied the odds.
Not only did he walk again, he became World Kickboxing Champion 2009.
But the challenge didn't stop there.
In 2014 Dave suffered a seizure and doctors discovered a brain tumour.
After fighting his way to recovery, a year later an MRI scan showed another brain tumour.
Five years ago, Dave was given three months to live. He started training harder than ever because sport was giving him life.
Today, Dave continues to defy all medical statistics.
“I may have cancer but cancer doesn’t have me.”
This is Dave Bolton. He fell nine times but got up ten.
